Official rules of the ¨Frenchanting!¨ Contest

By filling out the electronic form at www.frenchanting.com, you are automatically entered into the contest. No purchase necessary. You can register for the contest only once. The winner will be determined by random draw among all the entries received between March, 20th 2008 and November, 30th 2008. The first name drawn will win the prize.

Description and value of prize

A 5 days/4 nights trip to Normandy, including: airfare on Air France from Montreal or Toronto to Paris, 4 nights in a Bed & Breakfast, a welcome dinner, a 5 days car rental and a welcome package. The prize does not include domestic flights to Toronto or Montreal, personal expenses. Total value: 5 000 $ CAD.

Airfare must be reserved before September 15th 2009, and the trip ended before December 11th 2009. The winners cannot travel between December 15th 2008 and January 10th 2009.

When does the contest end?

The contest begins on March 20th, 2008, at the opening of the www.frenchanting.com Web site, and ends on November 30th , 2008 at 11:59 p.m., EDT. No purchase necessary.

The winner will be informed by email. It is absolutely necessary to provide a valid email address.

The winner’s name will be announced on December 5th, 2008 at 3 p.m. EDT, at the offices of Maison de la France-Canada, located at 1800, McGill College Avenue, Suite 1010, Montreal, Quebec, Canada H3A 3J6.

If the winner cannot be contacted within two weeks of the announcement, or if the winner does not comply with contest rules, the prize will not be awarded and a second draw will be held. Prize must be accepted as is, and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money. Maison de la France-Canada can, at its sole discretion, replace the prize with a prize of equal value for any reason whatsoever.

Eligibility

The contest is organized by Maison de la France-Canada. It is open to Canada residents who are 18 years or older only.

The following people are not eligible to enter the contest:

Maison de la France employees, its advertising or promotional agencies, its assignees, as well as suppliers of printing services and prize; and members of the immediate family or household of one of the aforementioned individuals. For the purpose of these contest rules, "members of the immediate family" refers to spouses, children, brothers and sisters, their parents and their spouses.

Conditions for entering

By entering this contest, each participant agrees to abide by the official contest rules and the final decisions of Maison de la France-Canada.

By entering this contest, each participant agrees to receive information newsletters from Maison de la France and Air France.

Liability

Maison de la France-Canada disclaims all liability related to the inability to connect to the network, unsuccessful, incomplete or garbled or delayed computer transmissions, Internet failures, hardware or software malfunctions or any other technical problem, to any communications failure or circumstances affecting, disrupting or corrupting the contest in any way whatsoever, including, without limitation, the receiving of entries, eligibility of contest entrants, transmission of notice to the winner, the winner’s response to the said notice, or related to any damage to the entrant’s computer after entering the contest or downloading information required to enter the contest.

Cancellation

Maison de la France-Canada reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this contest in the event of a virus, computer bug or any other cause, out of the reasonable control of Maison de la France-Canada, and which affects security or the effective management of this contest.

Limitations

This contest is subject to provincial laws and is null and void where the law prohibits it. Any dispute regarding the organization or conduct of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec. Any dispute regarding the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie for the sole purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
